Time:1:38 am.
Mood: hungry.
I haven't used this in ages. Nearly forgot I had it, but Karasu kept slipping away to post this comment, type up that entry, I was reminded of my own journal.

He really should be resting. He was terribly wounded.

I'm not in the mood to babble on about what's happened recently, so I'll make it short. I entered into a tournament - I don't know what possessed me. Lost the first round but it was to Kurama, who made it to the finals, so I don't feel too bad about that. Played dead for a few days, then woke up to find Kurama sitting in Karasu's lap like a doll. It was disturbing at first - it doesn't matter though, I won't go into it. Kurama's gone now, and Karasu needs tending to. Speaking of which, I should go. And... tend.

Mm, I'd forgotten this journal entirely. Karasu reminded me of it, so I took it as a hint to update.

Karasu seems to be enjoying himself. I've been doing what I do best this whole time, while he's been doing... mmm... what he does best. Lately, it's been funner watching him toy with the guards than actually going about my work. Somehow, I find that odd.

I've scanned over what's been happening in the ningenkai - these journals really are useful. Things seem to be winding down to a more soap opera effect from last I remember. Looks like that Toguro person's gone (Karasu seems to think that's a good thing, but I don't know Toguro really) and Yuusuke's gotten better so the excitement's not there, so much. Hm.

I'm at a loss as to what to say, now. I guess this post is more of a check-up than an entry.

Mood: crappy.
*private*

I snuck out to talk with Kurama tonight. I'm not sure if it ended any better than it started, but I'm glad we talked, anyway.

I needed to figure out where we're standing right now. I really hate the idea of having Kurama's friend as Karasu's toy, but I was the one that gave Karasu that collar. I'm still part of this. I don't want to break off whatever's left of my and Kurama's friendship, though - especially if it's ruined just because Karasu wants to...

Whatever. I won't touch Yuusuke for Kurama. But if he and his friends come down here to fight... I'm not sure whose side I'm supposed to be on, then.

Damnit. I feel like a traitor.

*filter: Yuusuke and Karasu only*

Karasu seems to be enjoying his new toy. I almost pity the boy, but he really should have been on better guard. We found a place to crash for a while, but it took a bit, as I had to make the trail as misleading as possible. Someone's bound to be looking for us considering who it is we've stolen.

Karasu, I'm free anytime, if you still want to make that trip to the river.

Mood: indescribable.
Kurama went home for sure today. Karasu and I slipped past the Reikai security and took a little trip to the human world as well.

I had a little thieving job during our visit and when I returned to Karasu - now this is where I get confused - he's got a new plaything. That's fine, but now he wants to keep him - and use him. Was there a plan and I didn't know about it? No, he just decided he liked the boy on a spur of the moment lust-trip. He's prone to those. Which, of course, I don't complain about in the least. But it was a little weird.

The poor victim looked like he wouldn't serve Karasu very well. He looked like a human, and I'm sure one of those wouldn't last long in Karasu's care. But it turns out he's definitely more than that. Silly me, I should have picked up that his ki signature wasn't... normal, should I say? I've been more or less indirectly trained for that sort of thing, but I'm still a thief. I'm not a fighter. Ki signatures aren't a huge part of my survival skills. And that's the best excuse I can come up with. As for the 'captive' we've acquired... Well, he's definitely more than human - almost dangerously more. Karasu, are you sure we're capable of something like this? As defenseless as he is at the moment, he's still a... Well, he definitely has a lot of allies.

What am I thinking? Karasu found a plaything he wants to keep and I'm trying to change his mind? Talk about the odds being against me.

I don't believe I've made a post in this about what's happened. Hm. Well, I don't want to droll on about it, so I'll keep it short. Yomi kicked us out. Fair enough, it's not like we were helping anything there. I wasn't too fond of all the high-tech suroundings, anyway.

Speaking of high-tech suroundings, it seems leaving Yomi's kingdom meant leaving my computer. Correction, it wasn't mine, it was Yomi's. That answers the question as to where I've disappeared to for so long. Has it been a few months already? Well, we managed to get ahold of a computer recently. That's good, because Kurama wanted to check up on his friends - and what a strange bunch they are.

I think Kurama's heading back to the human world. I knew that would be happening sooner or later, but I'm uncomfortable with it, anyway. Karasu'll still be around, though, so I'm not clinging to Kurama as badly as before. I still have someone to talk to.

Hope Kurama'll have fun with his human friends. Maybe they'll take him to that bar they've grown so fond of?

Time:6:27 pm.
Mood: accomplished.
Yesterday was interesting. Karasu had asked me how I usually passed time - our recent activities aside. Somehow it resulted with stealing weapons off guards which, in turn, resulted in a trip to the hot springs. Pleasant day, if you ask me.

I was surprised when Karasu said he had never stolen anything before. He seemed interested in the idea enough, though, to try it out.

...However, I pity that poor guard. He looked so scared.

Luckily, Karasu got the direction to Yomi's hot springs out of the guard and we found ourselves there in minutes. I hadn't been to any hot springs in centuries - to be taken quite literally. I think I'll visit them again very soon.

Subject:Kurama visited...
Time:11:12 am.
Mood: sore.
Well. Kurama finally came. It wasn't as bad (or good, for that matter) as I thought it would be - considering the obstacles that had to be pushed over for us to see each other, let alone have the meeting last more than one hour.

This is good. Kurama said he'd stay for longer than was expected. And more than likely visit the Makai more often, considering his obligations here. He hadn't expected to before, but I suppose Karasu and I were convincing enough.

Speaking about Karasu, Kurama seems to have opened up to him. At least a little. His level of glaring went down and he doesn't look like he winces every time Karasu opens his mouth. That's always good. Not that I knew how the two acted turning their previous meetings, but Kurama seemed hostile enough in the beginning for me to get it.

Just figured I'd post about our 'big reunion'. It mainly consisted of "...So." in the beginning. But it's alright. We're talking now, for the most part. In any case, I should probably go.

...That. Was amazing. (That's been the majority of my mental vocabulary for the past half hour.)

...Karasu's not as bad as that ferry girl said.

Kurama's still not here. Karasu and I had a talk about him yesterday... It really got me thinking. Even if Kurama does show up, is anything going to be the same? From what I've heard from Karasu, he's completely different from what I remember...

Not only that, he's human, too. I knew this, but I didn't think about the consequences of it until lately. We live in different worlds now. Well, we did while I was dead, too, but... It was so much easer when I couldn't see him. Now that I can and can't at the same time, it's hard. Karasu tells me Kurama even likes the human world. What happened to him? How could he change so much? The Kurama I knew wouldn't have chosen to live there instead of in the Makai. Would he?

Or maybe I'm getting ahead of myself. Kurama didn't actually say he wouldn't stay. I'm doubtful, after my talk with Karasu, that Kurama'll stay, but he never actually said anything himself.

But I hope he comes to visit soon. (In his normal form, preferable. I'm not sure if I'd take too well to seeing my old partner in a human form. At least, not right away.) Living here in Yomi's kingdom is really... uncomfortable.

And Karasu's not helping much, either. He's interesting and I can manage to talk with him whenever, but some of his views on things are very... different. Disturbing, if you will. ...And he really likes to explore...

In short, I'm not sure how to act around Karasu. He's interesting, if not dangerous. And he likes to make that obvious.

...Kurama'd better hurry up.

Time:6:00 pm.
Mood: uncomfortable.
Crap.

I found some weird guy training with his kid in the woods. He looked like he was going to rip me into two pieces before I got it through his head I wasn't going to fight him - I was just looking for someone.

Gods... Somehow we ended up talking and it turns out he knows Kurama. Kurama's, in fact, his heir! What the hell? At first I thought this guy was a little off his rocker, but then I followed him home - he invited me. He said he'd get Kurama's attention in my direction - and it turns out he's Yomi. One of the Makai Lords, now, I guess.

*looks around* Pretty big house. If that's what you want to call it. There's all these cords and 'technology' all over the place. It hurts my head.

Kurama, hurry up and pay attention to your predecessor! I'm so frickin' tempted to steal something here... I could, actually. Maybe. All this technology might have advanced their security system, though... And, really, I kind of want to stay out of trouble (don't laugh at me, Kurama) until I find you. Being put into jail might not exactly help the 'find-Kurama' process.

Subject:What?
Time:5:12 pm.
Mood: confused.
Tech... no... lo... gy.

What the hell just happened? Last thing I remember was wandering around the Reikai and now... I'm back? How? It sort of happened really fast, but...

*pokes box* What IS this? Well, a 'computer', I'm told. How long have I been dead? What happened? Why am I ... not dead? Where's Kurama? O.o So many questions.

I'm assuming the running-from-Reikai-Gates thing that me and a few others did has to do with me being alive. But it really happened fast. Now I don't know what's going on.

Gods, the Makai's changed so much. *looks around* ...Don't ask where I'm writing this from. Hell if I know.

...I want to go find Kurama. Whenever I ask I hear he was... killed? They've got to be lying, though. Kurama's smarter than that - and if he really WAS killed, why wasn't he at the Reikai? *taps lip in thought*

...On the other hand, some people answer me by saying they saw him at, get this, a tournament. They've got to be lying, too. Kurama isn't a fighter. Thief and fighter are very different things. And besides, what really made the whole 'tournament' deal an obvious lie: Everyone that says he was at a tournament swears that he was on the human's side. Right. Kurama? Fighting for the humans? Please, you're making my side's ache.

Anyway, I heard this whole 'internet' thing was helpful with communications, so... Kurama! If you find this, TELL ME WHERE YOU ARE!! It's your old partner! Kuronue! ...I'm kinda lost...
